- Monday 9/21 - Data models, data structures (Chapters 2), GIS software systems. Homework: install software. Assignment 1: Report about uses of GIS and mapping in your field or area of interest
- Monday 9/28 - Lab: Getting started with ArcGIS; Assignment 2: MassGIS exploration; Final Projects discussion.
- Monday 10/5 - GPS (Chapter 5); aerial photos and satellite images (Chapter 6) - Lab: Image interpretation, photogrammetry, digital elevation model (DEM) data, 3D GIS views. Assignment 1 due. Assignment 3: (TBA)
